Hir na Me sa Sarangani Highlands!

Sarangani Highlands is nestled on a hilltop with a breathtaking view of the Sarangani Bay. But we went to Sarangani Highlands for a dinner so I wasn’t able to see the Saranga Bay from the Highlands.

Food is really great. I like the sisig. I know, it’s nhttp://hirna.me/wp-admin/post-new.phpot authentic, just like the way Kapampangans do their version, but the Sarangani Highlands sisig is so creamy. Masarap! And the bangus is divine!

Watch out for my detailed post about Sarangani Highlands in BYAHILO soon!

Hir na Me sa Mitra’s Ranch

One of the places we got to visit during our Puerto Princesa trip is the Mitra’s Ranch. This large estate is owned by the late former Senator Ramon Mitra. The properly has a beautifully designed building that is shaped like a pyramid. what’s so nice about the Mitra’s Ranch is that it is perched on a hill and overlooking the Honda Bay. There’s a large area with Bermuda grass where one can just sit down and kill time.

Nag Baby Back Ribs na Me sa Casa Verde!

Last week, I had a 6-hour free time in Cebu City. A few days before I landed I asked Ed if we can meet there for a late lunch. I was scheduled to arrive at Cebu mactan International Airport at 1230PM from General Santos City, and will fly out to Manila at 6:30PM.

At first I wanted to have a lechon lunch at CNT, but Ed suggested we go to Casa Verde instead. Upon arrival at the Cebu Airport, Doi and Ed fetched me and off we went to Casa Verde near F. Ramos Street.

The food is soooooo good! The baby back ribs is winner! Grabe talaga! back ribs na presyong fastfood! Masarap na mura pa!

Hir na Me sa Lake Sebu!

Finally! Nakarating na ako sa dream destination ko! Lake Sebu, South Cotabato! Lake Sebu is known as the homeland of the T’Boli tribe. The tribe is known for creating the T’nalak weave where its deisgn is interpreted from the tribespeople’s dreams.

Lake Sebu’s cool climate is a perfect for those who want a weekend getaway. It’s pleasantly cool, just like in Baguio. The landscape is just so breathtaking. I styaed here for a night, but I swear I’d be back here soon!

Hir Na Me sa Cowhed!

When Sinjin and I planned to go to Lake Sebu some friends suggested that we go to “Cow head”. I really thought they were referring to the animal. But I was surprised to see a signage in Lake Sebu that reads “COWHED”. Cowhed pala is an acronym. Hindi ulo ng baka!

Cowhed is really a must-visit when in Lake Sebu. the Tboli women here weaves the T’nalak fabric. they also do beadwork for assorted accessories llike bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc. They are also known for their excellent skill in brass making.

Hir na Me sa Gumasa!

I have been wanting to go to Gumasa because of its white sandy beaches and aquamarine waters. So last week, I got the rare chance of visiting gumasa in the town of Glan in Sarangani Province. I went there with fellow travel blogger Sinjin. There are a lot of vans plying the Gensan-Glan route, but for the sake of excitement, we decided to travel for around 40 kilometers via motorcycle or locally known as habal habal! It was fun. and I’m pretty sure I wont easily forget this trip any sooner. Check out my blogpost about the Gumasa trip in BYAHILO soon, and find out why!
